Open letter to our new thought community…
Well we are evolving again with new ideas on how to better serve our community and how you can serve as well. We recently came up with the idea to add a new dimension to our website.
It will be called "Spirit Connections” This area will have several categories of service.
Here are some ideas:
Share a home with like minded people …You can put a (free) listing in to find a room mate or perhaps rent your home or find some form of support. Example a friend of mine is looking to rent a home, two others have rooms for rent in their homes, and another is looking for a place to park her RV so she will have a place to land when she is back from her travels.
We also have someone who has written a wonderful book and needs idea’s on how to find a publisher.
So we would love to open up the lines of communication and let it flow for many connections.. Perhaps even love?? Please give this some thought and send us your ideas on how we could best serve you and how you could contribute ideas to best serve others. Email us with your ideas or ways you would like to connect at: newthoughtnetwork@gmail.com.
Here is our first letter:
Dear New Thought Network,
I am in the process of trying to publish two novels, "All Saints' Day" and "Go, Lucy Go" and I have blogs that feature chapters from the novels. The problem that I have run into is fear. Not so much my own, but the fear that is driving humanity at this point.
One of my novels "Go,Lucy" has been on the Authonomy site out of the U.K. This is supposed to be a site where novels can get exposure that could lead to publication. The problem is some kind of fear-zombie-like behavior has taken over a majority of the authors on the site. In order to move up in the ranks now, you are expected to read, comment and shelve around 5 to 10 novels a day, granted many of these novels are nowhere near ready for publication. But that does not matter to these authors who so desperately want to get published that they will back anything, as long as that author reciprocates the backing. The awake and aware writers call this practice "mutual back scratching." I refuse to play this game so my novel is not moving at all.
So here is my request, and I hope you will support me in holding up the light and getting my novels published. Some of you know me as a writer and know that I have been at this for a long time. Here are choices to support this cause.
Visit my blogs, http://www.allsaintsnovel.blogspot.com or http://www.golucynovella.blogspot.com and if you enjoy reading the sample chapters then pass these blogs onto your friends and colleagues. The chapters are short and you don't need to read all of the ones posted. But if you enjoy the chapters, feel free to come back later and read more. These blogs are receiving little traffic at the moment and yes, I have promoted the blogs.
If you are up for a spiritual challenge, visit "Go, Lucy" on the Authonomy site (the link is on my Go Lucy blog), shine light on the novel and read a few chapters on that site. You need to register to leave comments and back books. But if you like what you read, I hope you will back the book. There are authors on that site worthy of publication, but their books are difficult to find because they are not playing the swapping game. If you enjoy reading novels online, then I can recommend some good reads on that site. Again, you would be supporting the more awake and aware folks that are under a lot of stress at the moment.
A lot of the fear authors are feeling at the moment is because of the economy. Some of the authors are out of work and hope that publishing their novels will get them out of debt. Others are new writers who aren't anywhere near ready for publication. And then there are some authors who are so polished that you would wonder why they don't already have a publishing contract. And some of the authors have agents and are on the site because of their agents requested it.
I feel invisible and unsupported at the moment so I would greatly appreciate your time and attention for either of my novels. And you would also be lifting me up so I can shed more light on the world. And I send all of you love and light for your endeavors too since I know that fear is in all industries and environments these days. We are all trying our best not to succumb to it.
Thank you & peace,
Patricia
